how cool is having diabetes?

I've been working on the diabetes project for about half a year now, and sometimes i wonder if its really as shit as people make it out to be. Maybe its a really cool disease and people just give it a bad rap, like polio or smallpox. Because like polio you just sat around all day and dont have to do sport and smallpox, well i'm not sure what smallpox would do, i just know that milkmaids got their now undeserved reputation of having good skin from it. But the point is, what if diabetes was so bad, what if diabetes had perks that people genreally over look.
Sure having diabetes means that your internal organs dont like you very much, but it also means that you always pretty fit, your life is a routine so you're easier to find and etc. But theres got to be more positive sides to it. I'm not a diabetic so i dont really know, but i know upside to having your tonsoles removed is icecream, breaking your arm is drawing on the cast, and getting alhtzamimers means that life is like a constant surpise party. So whats the positives of diabetes?

Grad Show

Hopefully people still read this.

This post isnt about PreMajors or Majors, its about finding a place to have our grad show. Since we've been rejected by RMIT first site, we're currently in a situation:

1) we have no venue to host the Grad Show
2) we have no money
3) we have no equipment for the Grad Show
4) we have no Grad Show

So...we need a venue, money, and equipment, anyone know where to get those things?

I know most of you wont really care that much since there was the show last year, but lets consider the content difference between what we had on display last year and what potentialy we could have on display at the end of this year. Its also a nice way for closure on university and the intencity of the 4th year program.
Theres also a key element that isnt ever going to happen again, and that is we're i think the smallest graduating group, which means we can some what treat our grad show as a personal exhibition since theres more space, resources etc given our numbers.

If you know where we can get a space/money/equipment lets talk.

Proposals and Report structure

PROPOSAL:If you would like to discuss how to improve your proposals and reports you can come over and see me.

Pl NOTE: I have not collected your proposals to give you a crit on them ( feedback on content you can get from your supervisors). I have merely collected your proposals to make it easier for me to get compliance from you in week 13.

If you have not submitted your proposals do so.

Report Structure:
You are required to submit a report on the assessment day. For any other submission requirements contact your supervisor. What you will submit - to meet your premajor assessment requirements has to be mentioned clearly in your proposal. And you have to submit all this fully completed for your grade to be awarded.

Assessment Schedule

You will have to submit to me finalised Proposals by week 13. These proposals will be sent off to the panellists - so that they can be prepared for your presentation.

NOTE: This is a necessary condition for you to present your work in week 16. ( That is - Failure to comply will mean you will not get to present.)

This is the schedule of the assessments. Please Note:
1. It is expected that you will be there for all the presentations. Please make sure to cancel all engagements for these two days.
2. All the preparatory work for the sessions will be my responsibility. I will need all of you to put up your work on the day before - 19th. This will serve as a small exhibition. I will need help (so volunteer) to sort out the room and and to prepare it for the sessions.
3. Final lists will be notified as and when your supervisors submit the list of panellists. The selection and contacting of the panel members ( to ensure they are present on time) is the responsibility of the student and their respective supervisors.
